Data Historian Consultancy:
Data Historians provide sites with a central repository that allow for separate manufacturing systems such
as SCADA, DCS, (Q)BMS, PLC and Data Loggers to transfer their data to. By doing this a site can reap the benefits of having all their Production
and Utility information located into one central data store.
This provides a number of benefits to a site in terms of having a single data source
for Trending and Alarm / Event information, which is installed onto the sites LAN
and allocated large amounts of storage area on their SAN. This design now provides
a user with the ability to perform central reporting and offers the unique benefit
of having a single report that actually spans multiple systems.
icis have a strong background in a number of Data Historians and are not
affiliated with any one brand. As such we can offer an independent analysis and review
to aid you in your selection process. We will highlight the differences between
the systems to you and provide you with enough information in order to allow you
to make an informed choice when it come to purchase. We will work with you to cover
some basic but important questions, for example:
- What type of Trending do you require (Web/Desktop)
- Is a Portal interface needed (Sharepoint / NetWeaver)
- Do you want a standard reporting application
- Is EBR a requirement
On completion of the review we can continue to support you through the installation process of
your historian. With our strong background in system design and development we can ensure that
the system is installed to your standards. Post installation we can offer potential support in
terms of custom application development.
